For Christmas dinner, I’m going to offer a little something different. I’ll have my usual sweet potato side, but offer two topping options. First, the traditional sweet, I’ll make a compound butter with brown sugar and cinnamon. Second, something savory, Birdie’s Jalapeño Pimento Cheese. The combination is pretty amazing! The potato has a naturally earthy flavor, and the jalapeño compliments it so effortlessly.
I’ve got to give Saucy’s BBQ in Petersburg VA all the credit on this flavor combination. Their Cue Balls are amazing! And obviously inspirational.
